Her experience and design innovation has been recognised by bespoke tailors in London, and producers in Scotland. Her design collections have included ground breaking research on Harris Tweed Wool, recently presented as a gift product of Scotland at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. Also Dianne’s ‘Fine Art Original Collections’ of wading and coastal birds and yacht images are created using her practical knowledge in printed textiles and her love of the sea and sailing. Acid, pigment, opaque, metallic and silk dyes are her preferred medium to create a rich background tapestry of colour and texture, enhancing the pictorial foreground images. My main influences were my life in Nigeria, my mixed-race origins, my travels in Africa, America, Europe and the Caribbean, my observations of the current cultural and socio-economic/location of the black race in juxtaposition to other cultures.
