Pohlmann, Frank
Stereoscopic 3D is a new visual art form which depicts visual space in a fundamentally different way than traditional media. Depicted objects are not located in perspective space but in stereo space. In my work I explore how stereo space can be expanded, contracted and generally distorted in ways unique to the stereoscopic medium. By doing so I reveal that man is a binocular species who perceives space stereoscopically.
