Haynes, Sam

Sam Haynes has been designing site specific artworks for public spaces since 1995, working alongside a wide range of professionals including artists, designers, architects and structural engineers. Graduating with distinction from the Art in Architecture MA, at the University of East London in 1998, Sam has worked throughout the UK on commissions ranging up to 60 K. Commissioners have included Conran Restaurants Ltd, Sense, British Waterways, Haringey Play Association and Lea River's Trust. Her work is entirely site specific and often involves the local community, helping to create a greater sense of ownership. Artworks to date have included etched and laser cut brass and steel panels, cast and polished coloured concrete and printed layers of acrylic. Sam has also worked as a tutor for the organisation 'Action Space', London's leading provider of visual arts projects for people with learning disabilities, and she remains committed to delivering high quality collaborative projects.
