Julie was in her first juried painting show in 1990 and has participated in exhibitions in the US, Spain, Korea, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and the UK. She has artists' books and prints in a number of public collections including the Tate Britain Gallery Special Collection.

I paint because I am fascinated by colour, both visually and conceptually. I make artists’ books as art that you can hold and look at by yourself. I like to make art with the community and would like to do an intergenerational project.
