Long, Eleanor

Long, Eleanor Long, Eleanor
In the glass line work, fused and curved glass is encased in a block or wall. The sheet glass undulates through the wall so each edge is flush to neighbouring surfaces enabling the contrast of light levels of each space to enhance the other with light, colour and movement.

Other work is composed of a number of curved pieces of glass which are positioned and secured on a base. The undulations and creases of the base is created directly from the glass itself. Each piece of glass varies in thickness, profile and size, every one being unique in shape. Through the positioning of the glass, forms flow from one to another.

The sandblast design work is site specific. Each artwork is created for an individual project with both the client and site’s particular requirements in mind.

External public artworks can be seen at the Royal Geographic Society, Exhibition Road, London SW7 and 30 Warwick Street, London W1.

Available for public and private commission.
