Samantha Luisa Quy holds a PGCE, Master of Arts Degree, Dance Studies (distinction) and Specialist Diploma in "El Arte Flamenco" (distinction) where she trained in Andalucia, Spain. She is a member of Equity and the Institute for Learning. She began dancing professionally, at 11 years, on TV and in London’s West End productions. She received dance scholarships from Royal Academy, Equity, Dancer’s Trust, and London Contemporary. In Spain, she performed choreographies by Carmen Ledezma, Isabel Bayon, Hiniesta Cortes, Rafael Campallo, Javier Baron, Milagros Menjibar, and Manolo Soler at La Fundacion and Teatro Sol, Sevilla. In Portugal, she performed with Suite Española from Madrid in “El Feticio de Gitana”. She has danced in numerous flamenco companies in UK including "El Aire flamenco", "Duende Flamenco", "Flamenco Fusion", "Diva Flamenca", "Candela Flamenca", "Flamenco Fiesta", "Alegria Flamenca", and "Camino Flamenco". Her TV credits include “Campion”, “Top of the Pops”, “Access All Areas”, “The Word”, “From the Top”, "Dancing in the Street". Adverts include: Wrigleys, Glaxo, Häagen-Dazs, BT, Sky, and Rover. She has taught and choreographed flamenco for events including Trafalgar Square's Record Breaking "BigDance", "Edinburgh Festival", "BigFest", "RISE Festival", and shows for Norwich and London City Halls. During 2006-7 she has toured with "El Aire", and performed in three Operas including "Carmen" at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Her dance has been reviewed as: “exquisite... absolutely breathtaking… passionate flamenco dancing”.
