Dexter, Blue

My name is Blue Dexter, and I'm a North London-based guitarist\composer. I compose and record mainly instrumental pieces in a range of styles.

I’ve been playing guitar for over six years now, and have arrived at my own unique style both in composition and playing. I prefer instrumental guitar music with a symphonic edge, and I use a guitar synth to add texture and additional instrumentation to my work. I play all electric, acoustic and bass guitars that appear on my songs and the result is generally a fairly dense palette. I’m aware that I’ve just used the word “palette” to describe my music, a sin for which there is no foul enough punishment. At least I steered clear of “cornucopia” or, even worse, “smorgasbord”. As you may tell from my photos, I enjoy the whole posing thing.

When recording I prize melodies above technique, feeling above speed. I could use the word “soul” around here, but I won’t. Enjoy.
