Come and see the exciting Quilters Exhibition.

There are more than thirty quilts featured in this exhibition by London Quilters (LQ). Quilts appear in every colour of the rainbow and range from A4 to bed size. They include both traditional and contemporary designs but all reflect the passion of their makers. Some of the quilts are by professional textile artists although for others this is the first time they have displayed their work.

The centre piece of the exhibition is the "Dear Jane" quilt inspired by Jane Stickle’s 1863 original. The 169 square patches in the quilt vary. Members of LQ each sewed and donated the blocks before they were sewn together and quilted by the group. The finished quilt which is reproduced on the exhibition invitation will be raffled for charity.

During the period of the exhibition, members of LQ will be on hand to talk about the quilts, their inspiration and the techniques used to create them.

London Quilters
London Quilters is a group of around 60 textile enthusiasts who meet monthly at the Crossfield Centre in Camden.  As well as listening to talks from leading figures in patchwork, quilting and related subjects, they take the opportunity to share their recent work and experiences with other members.  Details of future meetings are given on the LQ website.  New members and visitors are welcome.
