Gooding, S

Gooding's paintings include abstracts, figurative work, animal images and designs based on botanical patterns. She is a Londoner by origin, studied at St Martin's School of Art and University College, London and has travelled widely in Africa and America. She uses flora and fauna from around the world for inspiration and works principally in oil or acrylic on panels or paper, on a scale up to six feet. Her paintings have a striking sense of form, fluid line and above all, bold, imaginative use of colour. Vibrant shades make her compositions dynamic and subtle. Her paintings are in collections around the world from New York to Denmark via Antigua and Botswana. She often sells privately and welcomes commissions. Her artwork has been used as a book cover for a recent volume of poetry 'Entering Sleep Mode', published by Shoestring Press.
