I am a director, deviser and facilitator (groups and individuals). Currently running Improvisation classes, Radio Drama, Creative Drama with disabled people. I am also a performance / voice coach and have long experience in Role-Play training. I am interested in how we communicate physically, verbally and emotionally and in how spontaneous improvisation allows us to access material that may often be overlooked or rejected.
I have experience of creating workshops for specific teaching purposes e.g. a workshop on DNA and human reproduction for primary schools for the Wellcome Trust. As a drama/theatre director I use a mixture of Boal’s techniques and Mike Leigh’s character-based improvisation to create performances. I completed a Graduate Diploma in Dramatherapy and have worked in Mental Health as a theatre practitioner – Forum Theatre productions for Haringey Mental Health Trust.
