Marre, Pamela

Marre, Pamela
I have worked with stories for over 35 years - in experimental & mainstream theatre & as a solo storyteller. My first influence was Jewish storytelling, passed on by successive generations of family, but now I work with an eclectic mix of material and am particularly known for creating programmes around a theme. I have worked for all ages and in every context including national museums, galleries & institutions such as the National Archive and British Library.

Since 2000 I have been part of the Education team at the Imperial War Museum where I am a Fellow in Holocaust Education.
I have broadcast stories on BBC and Independent radio stations, most recently writing and presenting ‘Something Understood’ for BBC Radio 4.

I have children’s stories and poetry currently available in collections by Scholastic Books, A & C Black, Pan Macmillan and Oxford University Press. Writing for adults has appeared in a number of london newspapers, Buzz Magazine and the Jewish Quarterly.
