With my work I make space for an experience of inner vision to fuse with outer perception. To hear what is communicated from the world around us. I draw on many influences: the streets around me, advertising & news, symbolic painters like Blake, Redon, Cecil Collins and Alan Davie. I reveal a world of imagination that is sometimes strange and distinct but through which you can glimpse the mythical dimensions that underlie.
I believe that we all have a creative force within us. For nearly 30 years I have been creating and leading workshops and courses that encourage and empower people to discover this for themselves. Current classes are at the City Lit, on inner creativity & perception. My classes include methods taken from meditation and reflection.
Recent exhibitions: The Pastel Society 2005, E17 Art Trail 06 & 07, Photo Month 2007 and currently at City Hall in DecarbonART.
Recent Solo shows: Retreat at Walthamstow Central Library & The Right Climate at Changing Room Gallery 2007.
