My work is delicately sculpted using text, drawing & pattern. The multi-layered 2D & 3D artworks often use transparent surfaces, reflected light, multiples & detailed drawing taken from literary & biological references. From these I build up complex, intricate pieces. Recent work concerns genetic identity juxtaposed to words gathered from others about the fleeting moments, traits & secrets which form their true, everyday identities.

I have an eye for detail. I see the potential in the small things, which I collect & sculpt into something complex, intricate & fascinating. For me the measure of an artwork is the amount of time it engages you for, & I aim to make work which is compelling to look at & able to engage its audience on many levels.

The work is tactile & intricate, reflecting my interest in traces, memory & the process of deconstructing/reconstructing the layers, perceptions & identities which are built up over time. I use diverse, unconventional materials & processes.
