I am a visual artist with a specialism in ceramics. My primary focus is working with schools and community groups. I use visual, performance and theoretical process to develop personal skills emotional intelligence and encouraging self directed learning through experimentation risk taking and reflective practice. I enjoy working collaboratively with artists, teachers and young people and am able to develop and facilitate projects that are tailored to the schools specific needs accommodating different learning styles and meeting the needs of the early years, key stage 1 and 2 curriculums and the ECM guidance.
My aim is to support individual and group learning providing materials that are engaging and support discovery and exploration and allow the users to build on their existing knowledge and skills, giving children the time to reflect, make their own connection and become more effective learners.
