Work with Shared Experience on devising, directing and acting for the camera. This week-long exploration will culminate in a one-day short film making workshop facilitated by the award winning production company Chocolate Films. As part of the Thames Festival the completed short films will be screened at the BFI during the festival weekend of the 13th & 14th September. |

Work with Shared Experience on devising, directing and acting for the camera. This week-long exploration will culminate in a one-day short film making workshop facilitated by the award winning production company Chocolate Films. As part of the Thames Festival the completed short films will be screened at the BFI during the festival weekend of the 13th & 14th September. Detailed Schedule: Monday 21st until Thursday 24th July Time: 10.30am – 5.30pm Where: Alford House, nr Vauxhall What: On Monday and Tuesday, as a company, you will devise, script, cast and direct a short piece, working with a director skilled in new writing. On Wednesday and Thursday, you will work on camera. You will explore how to direct and act for the camera and how to edit and trim your script accordingly too. You’ll be working with an artist skilled in camera techniques. Friday 25th July Time: 10am – 6pm Where: South Bank tbc What: Participants will write, direct, act in and shoot a film with Chocolate Films. The Detail The theme of the drama workshop week will be an interpretation of the River Thames and you will explore this topic through a thriller (or spy) genre. The Chocolate Films Workshop will include: story creation exercises, directing demonstrations and exercises, hands-on camera and sound skills, acting, filming and editing in camera. Later, you will be invited to a screening of the film (as described above). |
