Watt, Rob

I am an engaging and passionate creative professional with extensive experience of directing theatre in a variety of site specific and community settings with people from a diverse range of backgrounds (inc. professional actors, young offenders, people with disabilities). I have a breadth of experience of working through a devising process as well as working with writers and designers to create inspiring, significant and provocative theatre.

I have been successfully designing, delivering and leading cultural programmes for the past 10 years and have experienced firsthand the powerful impact culture has on people; from delivering a youth theatre in Hemel Hempstead at the beginning of my career to embedding an integrated arts programme for ‘at risk’ young people in East London.

I graduated from Leeds University in 2001 with a First Class Honours Degree in Dramaturgy and went on to work for Dacorum Borough Council as an Arts Education Officer. I then became the Projects Manager at the
