Claire Mc Dermott is a British artist who lives and works in London and has produced a portfolio of mixed media works using photography, painting and sculpture. Each discipline is used in equal value to achieve links within each body of work..



The artist takes her inspiration from nature and by experimenting takes the viewer on a journey into a world of exploration. The physical and mental activity that develops around an intimate idea takes shape in the continuation of evolving works. Often reconfiguring thoughts that emerged from past works to recreate new art. Mc Dermott work often starts out as being a representation of a form of nature, but then develops her artwork as if it is an open book, so that the viewer can see the creative progress of her work and the transformation into the abstract form or images.
