Mamadou Sarr is a Senegalese percussionist - an outstanding performer, composer, arranger and teacher in djembe, dun dun, sabar and calabash West African percussion traditions. Currently performing with artists such as Baaba Maal, Pee Wee Ellis and Nuru Kane.

Mamadou is available for African drumming workshops across London and beyond and has experience working in the primary, secondary, further education and special education needs sectors, including preparation for GCSE and A level performances. Available for one-day workshops or more long-term projects.

Mamadou works alongside a qualfied secondary school music specialist who can work with partners to embed African projects across the curriculum and can offer teachers follow up INSET training to reinforce confidence working with African music in the classroom, thus making workshops sustainable and beneficial in the long-term.
