Zilla, Carol

Carol Zilla is a designer-maker of finely handcrafted jewellery in silver and gold. Her designs are inspired by the countryside and coastline of England and Scotland where she spent much of her childhood. Carol Zilla's current collections use simple, archetypal shapes - such as fish, flowers, doves and hearts – which are combined to create fresh, modern pieces of jewellery with an idealistic, romantic twist.

Carol Zilla uses traditional silversmithing techniques, and much of her work is hammered and finely polished to give a dappled surface with softened edges and an organic ‘sea-worn’ feel. She works from a small workshop in Walthamstow and makes a limited number of each of her designs which are sold as exclusive pieces. She also produces work on commission.
