As you walk up the gang-plank of the Puppet Theatre Barge and make your way down below decks your journey of the imagination begins. The enclosed 50 seat raked theatre, with all the comforts of a modern venue, is trimmed in mahogany and decorated with exotic puppets. It offers a comfortable and atmospheric surrounding to see the shows and is an ideal venue to see the dramatic art of puppetry. The stage has all the advantages of up-to-date technology and the company places special emphasis on the full use of dramatic techniques, in sound, lighting and visual effects. In the foyer drinks and snacks are served during the interval. The theatre is licensed for theatrical performances by the City of Westminster.

Gren Middleton, the company's puppet master said:

"The puppet business and especially marionettes are a continual source of pleasure and we on the PUPPET THEATRE BARGE are proud to be a part of London’s theatre scene. The company has a venue that has enchanted audiences for over a quarter of a century, producing imaginative shows for both adults and children. It is now an established London theatre accepting bookings from a world audience.”

The Hare and the Tortoise and other tales from Aesop
including the Lion and the Mouse
These well-known fables from Aesop’s famous collection are brought to life with drama and humour and staged with beautiful lighting and carved marionettes.
Enchantment is guaranteed.
