White,
Isabel
I work with a variety of community based organisations as a performance poet and poet in residence (references available). I founded the poetry performance collective “Alarms & Excursions” in 2009, with performances at Brockley Max festival, Up the Line and this spring at the Telegraph Hill Festival. I also work in a management and consultancy capacity, focussing on partnership development and securing funding for community based cultural organisations working in all cultural disciplines.
As a published performance poet I have performed all over the south of England and as far afield as Rotterdam. Recent appearances include Brixtongue, Brighton Festival Fringe, Outspoken. I am also a regular performer on the London spoken word circuit. My residencies cover communities as diverse as the homeless (First Stop, Darlington) and the elderly (Brendoncare, Hampshire & Dorset). Publications include Succour, trespass, Poetry Pearl, WordsMyth...
In a consultancy capacity, I have worked with (amongst others) Tangled Feet, See the Light, Cardboard Citizens, Talawa, Waygood Arts, Chichester Theatre, Music for Change and the London Gay Symphony Orchestra.
