Jacobi, Silvie

Jacobi, Silvie Jacobi, Silvie Jacobi, Silvie
Silvie started making mosaics in 2007 when she moved to London and started working as a volunteer at Southbank Mosaics.

Since then she has specialised in mosaic portraits and memorials and has worked on the studio’s William Blake heritage project. Her mosaics are from a very painterly nature influenced by her experience as a fine art painter, particularly skilled in colour arrangement and figure depiction. Silvie’s mosaic work was shown at exhibitions at the Royal Festival Hall and at Lincolns In Fields (Holborn) as well as being permanently installed at the Waterloo Action Center, Lambeth Palace and Centaur Street. She has experience in working on large scale mosaic plates, paving stones, street signage and memorials.

As part of an Arts Council England commission Silvie is currently working on a number of mosaic portraits depicting influential women from the past and present that have worked and lived in the local area (Southbank).
