Welcome to Walthamstow - 1200 Artists exhibit in William Morris' birthplace. Over 200 exhibitions and events in open houses, studios, public and commercial spaces, museums and galleries. As audiences go around the trail they will encounter alter egos, letterpress studios, puppetry, quilts, sheds, live graffiti, fairy tales and legends, tapestry, miniature theatre, show reels, art quizzes, menageries and many invitations to tea! The E17 Art Trail, now in its sixth year, has a fitting theme - Welcome to Walthamstow – inspired by the incredible hospitality of local artists and communities exhibiting on the E17 Art Trail. For 2010 organisers have also invited guest artists from as near as neighbouring boroughs and as far as France, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, the US, Lebanon and Jamaica. There are many new elements to this year’s Art Trail enabling visitors to take part and navigate their way around Walthamstow: * Information Hub Located in the Town Square.
