Rabin, Rachel Rabin, Rachel Rabin, Rachel
Working for 4 years as a professional singer and tutor has taken Rachel to over 300 venues around the UK and Europe, performing to crowds up to 11,000 large along side an array of well known contemporary artists in the music industry including KT Tunstall, Scouting for Girls, The Feeling, Athlete, Tao Cruz and many more. As a well-known cabaret artist, Rachel has appeared on an MTV documentary, been recommended on BC Radio 1 and appeared in many theaters, festivals and fairs around the world. Rachel also has a strong background in musical studies to compliment her vocal and performance abilities, including various Trinity Guildhall grades and this has helped her establish a great reputation for writing melodies and lyrics. Having had one of her own songs released and played on over 50 global radio stations, Rachel has performed live on BBC radio and at UK indie festivals, including the ‘Walk for Life’ in London in July 2010, as an established singer songwriter. Locally Rachel has recently headlined an event at the International Youth Arts Festival in Kingston Upon Thames and has been involved in many events and workshops organised by The Mayor of Kingston. Combining her proficient musicianship with her outstanding performance and vocal skills and her solid experience in teaching in the private sector, Rachel has developed a set of engaging and unique creative workshops for 8 – 16 year olds. These workshops encourage young adults and children to open up creatively in a musical and lyrical context and the themes explored through the workshops are linked specifically to school curricula or appropriate group concepts. Rachel has held numerous workshops through 2010 including and ongoing project with the Westminster Edutain summer camps and the Sparkle Academy, as part of Global Arts for the boroughs of Kingston, Merton and Sutton. Rachel fits her workshops and teaching around her full time performance career but has full daytime or afterschool availability for London areas
