The Heart of the Race: oral histories of the Black Women’s Movement. An exhibition exploring the campaigns and successes of the Black Women’s Movement in the 1970s and 1980s. Based on the Black Cultural Archives’ ground breaking oral history project, the exhibition documents the often hidden history of grassroots activists and campaigners in their own words.
