Thingummybob, Bob

I am BOB THINGUMMYBOB there is only one! I have worked for over 20 years, mainly in nursery and primary schools, but also in a wide variety of other venues doing: - Puppet shows, puppet making workshops and storytelling. In the puppet shows I mainly use glove puppets (made by Mrs Thingummybob). I have written all of the material myself relying on the 3 E's - Entertainment, Education and Excitement, plus a standard puppet presentation of the Ugly Duckling. The workshops are structured so that each child makes a complete puppet in one session. Each session is a wonderful opportunity for craft work and artistic expression. In a school situation the follow up possibilities are limitless and include story writing within the national curriculum. The stories are drawn from a wide range of sources, traditional and moderns and include some from Europe and North Africa as well as our own.

MISSION STATEMENT: To enthral every child. To leave every child stimulated and enthusing. To make sure the content is at the right level so each child from nursery to junior can get the optimum benefit from every session. To try to include nothing that is offensive.
