Kirchmair, Dori

I am an experienced London artist transforming spaces (indoors and outdoors) through murals design, use of colour and planting. Various projects include the design and creation of an area to grow vegetables and a topic linked mural for the children at Deptford Park Primary School Nursery, a playground mural for Allyen's Junior School, a sensory garden for Lyndhurst Primary School and the 'Underwater Gallery' together with the children for the estate and the nearby youth club (through Green Lanes and KickStart). As a painter I also used to create and exhibit internationally large scale 3-D abstract paintings (presented in the form of installations) I am also an illustrator and designer. I recently designed & illustrated a book for a lovely project called 'Shared Experience' - 'Can you hear me sing?!' (run by Southwark Arts Forum) which is about bringing together generations - songs (and stories) remembered by the elders are sung by the children of Cobourg, Galleywell and Hollydale Primary Schools. Other projects include illustrations of the elders at SHU reminiscence workshops, various design and illustration work.
