Lloyd, Errol
Several of my picture books are on the national curriculum reading list, and my children's plays have been produced by the Tricycle Theatre, Waterman's Arts Centre and Oxford Playhouse amongst others. I have conducted story structure workshops in schools to encourage children to develop their prose and poetry writing skills for many years. I have also been resident writer and resident artist in a number of London schools. I have also conducted painting workshops, on the theme of Carnival - from the historical background to the planning and preparation stage - involving children in the creation of artwork celebrating Carnival. My great passion is music (flute) and I have, initially on an amateur basis, performed in the 1980's with David Griffith's Westbourne Singers and Instrumentalists in presenting programmes of classical music to community organisations, old people's homes etc. and, more recently as part of a trio (flute, guitar, drums) playing Latin-American and standard favourites.
