Kolek, Agnieszka

I graduated in Poland, majoring in drawing & photography. I have exhibited my drawings in two group shows at The Hutson Gallery in London (July- September 2003, December - January 2003),(www.hutsongallery.co.uk , view artists: Kolek) and in Paris at Salon d'Automne (November 2003). Apart from my 2D work I started collaborating with a musician & photographer "Filip", creating a group called "Third Eye Visions". The group has had three main shows: Soho "PUSH" Bar (May 2003), Dalston "Vegan Cannibals" (June 2003) and "Rozbrat" in Poznan, Poland (August 2003). We are currently working on the new dimension in our work. My drawings are figurative, done from the live models. I use mainly inks and gauche, some of them are made in mixed media. The human nature is in the center of my attention. Building a intimate relationship with my models I am trying to get through their skin, deep into their souls. I can feel the fragility of my models, their fears, dreams, love that comes sometimes not at the right moment... all these little things that weave the multilayered texture of my drawings. The "Third Eye Visions" projections are tightly connected with the music.
