Grant Klar, Antonia

Antonia is a graduate of Central St Martins, where she specialised in 3D fine art. She uses a range of media, particularly paper, fabric, slide projection, photography and found objects, to create sculptures and installations. The work focuses on the gap between what we want and what we get in life and the disappointments inherent in this psychological mismatch. Her work uses domestic and psychoanalytical cues and has a sound conceptual foundation, but also involves detailed craft processes. Her ambitions are to create thought-provoking environments in which the viewer feels immersed; and to make an original contribution to the contemporary art scene.
