My current project is a large-scale pastel and oil artwork, exploring the ecological issue of the earth and marine life and its biodiversity, focussing on how some species may face extinction in the future. The key motivation is to anticipate the dehumanisation of the earth, and further the one of our modern society and its apocalyptic impact. However, even if my approach can be perceived as a militant one and the fact that this work shows a strong ecological warning, my aim is to treat the subject in a rather witty and humoristic way, avoiding purposefully didactics and seriousness.
