Elmhurst, Elizabeth
I studied at Dartington College of Art and Barnsley School of Art pre diploma and Birmingham College of Art & Design Diploma A.D. 1969. I am now a practicing painter and printmaker exhibiting regularly. I lived in Chelsea and worked in Willesden Tech. Interior Design Department teaching and drawing A level art in the 1980,s. I am now teaching at Putney School of Art and South Thames College, as a tutor in watercolour and drawing. I am also a tutor for the Open College of Art. I showed my work at the Battersea Contemporary Art Fair in 2003 and the year before exhibiting my work at the Wine Gallery in Chelsea. I have also exhibited regularly at the Chelsea Art Fair, and Royal Academy summer Exhibition. I exhibited at the Stables Gallery in 1992 at Dollis Hill. Most of my paintings are inspired by landscape, architecture and natural form, especially flowers. I have painted murals in the past as commissions. I am keen to do more painting and have more exhibitions or do commissions on request.
