Rene, Monica

Monica Rene, was born in Jamaica and educated in Oxford, England. She worked as an International Fashion Model and Journalist before pursuing her interests in Art and Culture. She researched and photographed a major art documentary in Egypt and UK on Coptic Christianity. As writer and photographer she contributed to several publications on this topic. In recent years Monica,s work has contributed to the Arts Council of England publications on the Notting Hill Carnival, which she photographed for over 15 years. She also initiated collections of disabled artists work in the UK.
