Whitmore, Sue

I studied Fine Art at the Central and Wimbledon Schools of Art and Philosophy & Art History at UCL. I've had almost 20 solo exhibitions and have completed many designs for the theatre. I am a published poet and teach Life classes at the Tricycle Theatre every Thursday and take landscape groups to Spain twice a year in May & October. I was a founder member and Chair of Brent Artists Register for fifteen years. Visitors to my website will see landscape and figure work and a selection of poems and reviews. I enjoy performing poetry and am a member of Metrolands Poets and The Brondesbury Group. I am a huge admirer of W.H.Auden, Larkin, Charles Causley and Carol Ann Duffy amongst many others. I always respond to the work of Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon and Elizabeth Frink and contemporary artists such as Andy Goldsworthy and Rachel Whiteread. I have just had an exhibition,'Escapement' at the Tricycle Gallery in Kilburn and have one in June at The Dissenters Gallery in Kensal Green.
