Patel, Payal

I have primarily been trained in the North Indian classical dance form of Kathak. I am currently part of a dance company called A.N.K.H. which is directed by Gauri Tripathi and we have performed extensively in the UK and abroad. Venues have included Westminster Abbey, Millennium Dome, Trafalgar Square and Royal Festival Hall. Since a young age I have had a passion for watching, and dancing to, the ever popular Bollywood tunes. I have choreographed and performed in many shows around the UK. I am now running Bollywood classes for young children and adults in Wembley and have 50 students. I hope to spread my love and passion for dance with people interested in learning the Bollywood moves of their favourite stars. My interest in acting came about through dance. I have acted in many stage plays, musicals and telefilms as well as having appeared in two BBC documentaries.
