Babarinde, Folasade

Folasade has worked for many years as an artist and education practitioner. She is an accomplished visual performing artist. Her varied field of expertise incorporate music, dance, and storytelling. Her skills and experience have led her to work for Europe's largest African Dance Company touring nationally and internationally. Folasade is now dedicating her practice particularly to the education and community sector. She has also set up her own group, Abundance Arts, sharing artistic skills with others as a performer and tutor. Her passion for communicating contemporary and traditional African art forms is further enriched by her grounding in Fine Art training. Her innovative, original and stylised approach has involved her in sustainable education projects with people of all ages and background. She is interested in promoting cultural exchange and celebrating cultural diversity. Her ethos is rooted in learning through participation.
