Miller, Richard

With two permanent public works in Scotland, one outside the Members' House of the Royal Scottish Zoological Society in 1993 and a commission from Glasgow City Council Parks and Recreation Department in Haghill, Abernethy Street in 1998 and featuring much in the Scottish national press, Richard moved down to London where after working in bronze foundries and developing work in his studio acquired a formal training at Wimbledon School of Art (BA Hons) Fine Art [Sculpture] graduating summer 2003. He was nominated in 2002 for Beck's Futures awards for 2003 and elected by the Committee of the Royal Society of British Sculptors as a Member in 2002. He is currently using water and light to create healing works of art. 'My art is about creating a positive mood change, I use water and light as a catalyst for stimulation'.
