Harmer, Ben

I am a freelance stop motion animator/film maker and Artist/Facilitator specialising in animation/film and Printmaking workshops. Workshops often incorporate related activities like printing, photography, quiz games, story writing and 3d model making, etc. Projects are themed and depending on the age group involve investigation and discussions, most culminate in exhibitions of group work, projections and exciting large scale prints.

I trained as a Painter and Printmaker at Sheffield Hallam University and as an animator at the Royal College of Art, my work since then has been a combination of commercial animation work and personal projects (The Magic Gloves stop frame animation), artist facilitator work and lecturing. I have recently worked on projects at the Barbican and The Natural History Museum and am currently seeking funding from the Arts Council for a community mural painting and photography project in the Harrow Road area of W10.
