Tyrrell, Richard

Writer, dramatist, poet and journalist. During the 1990s, he worked in journalism, freelancing for The Guardian, The Independent, The Sunday Times, and many other publications in Britain and overseas. Worked as artistic director of WordLinks Writers Festival, Bedford. Chairman of the Poetry Society of England and Wales in 1993/4. Contributing editor to the Encarta Book of Quotations. Senior Editor, GT Global Publications, overseeing publication of 29 international city guides. Finalist, Channel 4’s The Play’s The Thing, 2006. Poems published widely in the UK, Ireland and USA.
