I am a Shepherds Bush based designer-maker specialising in one-off fashion accessories using vintage, reclaimed and recycled materials. The raw materials that I work with come from a variety of sources in the U.K. and abroad. My primary medium is crochet but the items I make often incorporate other techniques such as embroidery, beadwork, and appliqué. I am passionate about recycling and want young people to be more aware of the environmental consequences of the throw away culture in which we live. I would also like to see more craft such as knitting and sewing taught in schools. Projects undertaken to date with schools and children include recycled fashion design workshops, T-shirt customisation, jewellery making, felt craft and sock monkeys.
