Parmar, Dee

Dee Parmar works as a freelance theatre practitioner both nationally and internationally in a range of diverse community and cultural contexts. She has also recently completed an MA in Applied Theatre (Drama in the Community and Drama Education) at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London.
Her professional practice (Half Moon Young People’s Theatre, London; Hampstead Theatre, London; Language Alive, Birmingham; MakeBelieve Arts, London; Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah, Leeds) has allowed her to plan, deliver, monitor, evaluate and reflect on participatory theatre/drama/performance processes that promote creativity, cultural and community connection.
Her work in educational settings seeks to employ pedagogic strategies and educational practice that promote creativity and support young people of all ages and abilities to maximise and mobilise their potential as learners.
