I am a sculptor and painter, currently working in carved stone.
I work on the theme of the fragility and chance elements of life.
My sculptures have been described as natural forms which might exist in a parallel universe.

In this current climate of discussion around the Darwin theory of evolution I make work which explores the change in forms, even towards a cellular level.


I also run projects with the community, mainly working with mosaics and carved wood to make site-specific pieces.

I am working with two organisations at the moment, Art in the Park running the Heart Garden project on Friday mornings and at Inspire teaching a mosaics class and a reminiscence group.

The Heart Garden is an art and gardening project, in Chumleigh Gardens, Burgess Park, where people with heart conditions and other illnesses grow vegetables in raised beds and make artworks for the garden. We are making a mosaic table for the front of the building now that it is too cold for gardening.

The mosaics class at Inspire won a Topps tiles award for the standard of beginners work.
