As part of my Ph.D. work I have spent five years researching the artistic phenomenon of Installation Art. This has given me important first- hand experience of researching the archives of museums, libraries and galleries. In addition, I have made many studio visits with artists and had discussions with critics, historians and gallery owners. Since a Ph.D. is a major undertaking I have also developed excellent organizational skills in order to complete this project.

I have a thorough knowledge of the international contemporary art scene and I am a specialist on Spanish art. As a part of the 4-year grant I was awarded, I spent a considerable amount of time researching in London and New York, while also being in contact with local artists.

Currently, I write for a couple of Spanish web-based art magazines, working as a member of their editorial teams. I have also completed two part-time internships at Afterall —contemporary art journal based at Saint Martins College of London and The California Institute of the Arts— and the Foundation for Women´s Art (FWA) —project based in Clerkenwell (London).
