The Surgery

The Surgery is an artist run project based at 123 Evelina Rd, Nunhead, now in it’s fourth year. The Surgery provides a platform from which to show work and to develop a dialogue within the locality around the work presented. We aim to provide a place in which to develop art practice
We are currently presenting a series of six projects, The first of which was a group show exploring the notion of cultural difference by Clash Art, followed by an installation by Sarah Doyle and a sound piece by Isa Saurez.
Eleanor Morton curated a group show 'Painted Ladies' with work by Rose Wylie and Emma Talbot.
Peter Todd's photographic piece is project number 5 looking at the relationship between public and private space as found in the gallery, the space behind and the public space on the street.
Project number 6 is currently in being developed.
