I specialise in working with community groups running art workshops for Under 5’s, 5-11 yr olds, Transition Groups (9-14yrs), Youth Groups (13-19yr olds), Young People, Adults and People with Special Needs and Learning Difficulties. I have also worked for Statutory Bodies such as in Primary Schools, Council run Leisure Services & Universities as well as charitable organisations such as Neighbourhood Partnerships and Festival Organisations. I also have 11 yrs experience of being a playworker with 5-11yr olds. My teaching style is very much orientated to encouraging creativity and collaboration & valuing process as much as outcome. I am able to plan and prepare for the intended art workshops and will, should you require it, give you a comprehensive list of materials and costs per workshop. I am reliable, punctual and highly organised, have a CRB enhanced disclosure as well as public liability insurance.

I offer a wide range of arts and crafts workshops which to date have included Personalised Bunting, Life Drawing, Sculptural Day of the Dead Skeletons, Origami Butterfly Installation, Mural Design, Screen Printing, Weaving, Clothes Customisation, Fantastical Figures, Felting and many other exciting arts and crafts projects. I always try to incorporate recycled materials where possible. I believe that every participant should have the opportunity to be provided with a safe and stimulating environment in which to learn new creative skills so as to encourage self development and confidence. In my workshops participants are given the opportunity to interact with others & ultimately have fun.

To date my clients have included organisations such as: Highgate Newtown Neighbourhood Partnership, Harrow Road Neighbourhood Partnership, Freightliners Farm, St Mary’s Community Gardens, Queens Crescent Library, MIND and Discover Children’s Centre. Festivals: Stoke Fes, Over 50s Festival, Islington, Holloway Arts Festival, Kilburn Festival, Harrow Road Winter Festival, Camden Green Fair and the London South Bank University. Art Organisations: The Rowan Arts Project. Schools: Tyssen Primary School, Fleet Primary School, St Marys Primary School, St Eugene de Mazenod Primary School, Kingsgate Primary School and University College London. Community Centres: Sidings, Whittington Park, Ringcross, Maiden Lane, Kingsgate and the Somali Cultural Centre.

As well as having a BFA in Sculpture I have also, over the years, taken various courses in Arts & Crafts such as: Carnival Costume Design, Design & Dressmaking, Experimental Textiles, Felt Making, Colour Theory & Application, Screen Printing, Lino Printing, Introduction to Drawing, Paper Making, Photography, Lighting, Picture Framing, Stained Glass, Candle Making, Pottery, Tie-Dye, Batik, Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

As a practicing artist my work imbues a celebratory nature that encompasses mixed medias and the use of 2 and 3D. Past artworks have included: Fake Flower Signs, Little World Boxes, Skatebowl Interventions, Love Statements, Latex Hangings, Souvenirs, Bunting and Air Vent Installations. As well as exhibiting I also take commissions.

I also produce unique, one of pieces of Recycled Bunting, to buy and hire, that instantly transforms environments with a festive, party feel.
