The cemetery is the final resting place of many famous people: Brunel, Blondin, Wilkie Collins, Thackeray, Dr James Barry, Charles Babbage.

There are many others too, whose names are no longer famous but whose work, and actions changed the course of history, the arts or improved the way people live their lives.

The Friends of Kensal Green Cemetery exist to save the cemetery, its historic buildings, monuments, landscape and wildlife and to promote understanding of the lives of those buried within it.

The Friends organise art exhibitions at the converted Dissenters' Chapel, arrange lectures, events and seminars and hold and an annual Open Day in July.

The Friends are grateful to the boroughs of Brent, RBKC and Hammersmith&Fulham for their support, as well as that given by English Heritage, KCEL and the Lottery Heritage Fund.

The Friends of Kensal Green Cemetery is a registered charity, please help us with our work by joining as a member.
