What do a gay former butcher, a school teacher, and the great Australian bushland have in common? Malcolm Poole, one time high-society butcher, and part-time English teacher, Loris Quantock are exhibiting at London’s Menier Gallery with a show inspired by the Australian bush. Titled "Two for the Road", this exhibition is the first in a series to be held at the Menier Gallery featuring the works of Sydney’s most famous colony of artists, the Lennox Street Studios. Operating on similar lines to London’s artist - run Cable Street Studios, Lennox Street is regarded as the home of innovative art in inner city Sydney. |
